It’s actually mind boggling how many businesses don’t know about this. And the fact that most owners have spammers calling about your Google Business listing is not helping either. Simply put, everyone uses Google to shop, find restaurants and businesses. Google picks who to show at the top of the results for a specific keyword based on a special program we call an algorithm. This algorithm is private but Google tells us how to optimize a site so that algorithm favors you. All hail the mighty Google.

So Local SEO is the optimization of your website and your online properties (Yelp, Google My Business, Social Media, etc) so that Google knows you are a legitimate and relevant business to the users search.

So how important is SEO? Well imagine I am looking for a taco place in Fresno and I search for “Taco shops near me”. Am I going to realistically pick one of the first few options? Or go to page 50 to find that shop? If I am hungry, I will choose one of the first few results. If I am a food critic, I may spend hours looking 😉

Yup. Your website is yours at the end of our contract. We usually host your site for you so that means you would have to find a new hosting provider, and we would be able to transfer it for a small fee (nothing against you, it’s just it takes about 3-5 hours of labor to move data between remote servers and make sure everything is running). Or, if you have your own new dev, they can do it and we won’t charge a penny. 

We never burn bridges and we sure hope you don’t either. Sometimes issues arise from miscommunication not from an actual issue itself.

When your site goes down, how long are you going to wait to talk to someone? How long are you going to wait for someone to make a change? When I first started Hyperboost, we decided to be available at all times of the day. After hours your messages go to my personal phone. If I see them, I respond. If it’s a critical issue, I immediately put it in our project manager or work on it on the spot.
